Frequently Asked Questions

Who do you offer lessons to?

We rely on collaborations with other non profits to host our pools. Our hosts include transitional housing programs, single parent rehab facilities, after school programs, home school programs, youth shelters, homeless services, and community centers where access to a pool is unavailable.

How do you evaluate your success?

There are several steps in our evaluation process to ensure we are producing the results we strive for and to improve our services where needed. We have surveys at registration that gather information on parent experience, child’s experience, level of water safety knowledge, and other helpful information. The swimmer will always be assessed at the first lesson in order to create a lesson plan and clear goals. At the end of the lessons they will be assessed again and asked to complete a review and small survey. This data is all very clear and easily interpreted.

Do you offer lessons to the public?

We prioritize participants in the collaborators programs first but when space is open we can book lessons for those in our network from other referral agencies or programs.

How long do you stay at a location?

We stay at each location for 4 weeks . Each swimmer should have the opportunity to participate in at least 10 lessons during that time.

Are your instructors certified?

Absolutely, All of our instructors are Red Cross or YMCA certified, C.P.R, First Aid, and Lifeguard certified. Additionally they are trained within our organization to teach private lessons that are the most efficient and effective lessons possible.
